Compensation: $19–$23/hour (depending on experience)

Common Ground Community Building is seeking a compassionate, detail‑oriented, tech‑savvy professional who wants to make a real difference in the lives of individuals and families in Cole and Callaway counties. Overview
The Benevolence Support Specialist provides daily client assistance, accurate case documentation, and essential administrative support that keeps our benevolence office running with warmth and efficiency. This role is ideal for someone who is empathetic, organized, comfortable with technology, and able to juggle multiple tasks while maintaining a calm, welcoming presence. The Specialist also cross‑trains with the Benevolence Coordinator to ensure consistent service during absences or high‑volume periods.
Duties
Provide compassionate, professional assistance to individuals and families seeking support.
Conduct needs assessments and offer case management for smaller assistance requests.
Maintain accurate client records.
Assist with daily office operations, including phones, walk‑ins, filing, and administrative tasks as needed.
Prepare documents, spreadsheets, and correspondence for the Executive Director as needed.
Collaborate with community agencies to connect clients with additional resources.
Cross‑train with the Benevolence Coordinator to provide coverage during absences or busy periods.
Assist with Families Forward referrals and attend community meetings as assigned.
Participate in fundraising efforts when needed.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training or coursework in social services or administration is a plus.
Strong proficiency in Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Drive, Gmail).
Ability to quickly learn and navigate office software systems.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
Ability to multitask, stay organized, and work independently.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience in social services, case management, or nonprofit administration.
Experience working with vulnerable populations.
Familiarity with community resources in Cole and Callaway counties.

Part‑time schedule with consistent morning hours (Monday–Friday).
