Benevolence Office

Our benevolence office provides emergency temporary monetary assistance to local families in need.  Our funding is provided by individual supporters, ecumenical partners, and community organizations. Assistance offered includes partial payments towards emergency utility assistance (electricity, water and sewer), rental and/or deposit assistance, and gas vouchers/bus passes for critical transportation needs.  Other types of assistance are determined on a case-by-case basis.  

All assistance is restricted by the amount of funds available and prior history of assistance given. Assistance is provided by appointment only to ensure that each client receives personalized intake and resource counseling.
